Midway there- DAY #18... Challenge ACCEPTED!

Who is ready for Day #18?

I will persist until I succeed.

Sadly, I am doing the workouts, but I am having food issues!  My weakness is Roasted Marshmallows.  UGH.  I am still only allowing myself to eat 3 of those roasted delicious puffs of yumminess, but really?  I don't even like Marshmallows and for me to literally be so desperate to pick up my kitchen light wand and light it up into a ball of red hot flames and char the crap out of them..it's just weird!  Summer fever, I think.

Anyways, a slip will not ruin me...set me back, sure, but it will not ruin me and my determination.

So, what's OUR Challenge today?

67 sit ups
110 crunches
70s plank
32 pushups
54 Jumping Jacks
46 High Knees
25 Squats
25 Lunges (per leg)

So, my BIG question today is, has anyone had any hiccups with the workout? Challenge spots?  How are you working through them?

My Hiccup is the Planks.  Those babies are hard.  I am glad we started small but when we have a rest day and jump back into them, I have to admit that it takes me two tries to meet the seconds requested.  Last night, the 65s one caused me to coax myself more than usual, but, I am a bit proud to say that I did it (even in the 87* that our house is sitting at right now).

15 sec day ONE ain't gone stop ME!! 11/30/13

So, bring those Planks!

We keep building the amount of each workout and keep striving towards our goals.  That is what this is all about, please do not lose your focus. Today is just another day, but with the workouts you are making sure tomorrow is a better one!

Staying motivated and dedicated mentally is the most crucial part of weight loss. Reminding myself of my goals every morning, creating rules to reach my goals, being positive about weight loss, loving my body unconditionally whether progress is fast or slow, and celebrating each goal weight has made this very long journey possible.

Thanks for those who are following me, and putting in the work!  I still have  a ways to go but I think that after getting into some shorts (which last summer I did not wear any but maybe twice!) - I feel better and that is the honest to god truth.  Our Summer Kalahari trip is coming up in July and that is where I want to make sure my Tummy is toned - so I have my goal and have to keep working toward it!

A little over a week to go...  eek!

My meals are probably going to be much of the same.  I started with my BIG, TALL Glass of ICE COLD Water this morning and of course, my Oatmeal.  Snack will be a bowl full of Goldfish (a packet) with a Shakeo for lunch (going to try my Butterfinger one again) and then some tomatoes, pita chips and hummus for snack and oven chicken (with olive oil/coconut oil/ basil/Italian seasoning and parsley) with steamed broccoli. I am also putting lots and lots of good old H2O into my day. (Still POP free! Go Me)

I am a bland person and super picky- so my meals will not change much- but please, feel free to add your healthy fix'ins in the comments to share with others.

I am also still going strong with my 10 Minute Trainer DVD series- which is my official GO TO!  Hands down my FAVORITE workout series YET!

Don't forget, if you are interested in PiYo- will be hitting my website soon! PM for details.

Keep going everyone, we SO got this!!!

Family Time ... Father's Day 2014

Family Time

6/15/2014

What is the meaning of Family Time to your Family?

In Honor of Father's Day, and in the honor of the two great Men in my life, my Dad and my Hubby,  I would like to let them both know how much they mean to me.

My Dad has been the best Dad to me through the years and allowed me to learn to be independent and reliable and think before making decisions.

My Hubby has been my rock. He has stood beside me through this life of ours and always had my back in every crazy scheme, decision, idea that I have come up with in the 12 long years that we have been by each others side.  I could not ask for a better life partner or a better Father to our girls. (I am one Lucky girl!)

"I have never been loved and I’m aching to love and to be loved, fearing I never will."
Favorite!!

Yesterday, (Father's Day 2014) - we had a Family Cook-Out and even had my very *favorite cousin, Julie and her hubby, Rick and their daughter, Valerie- here all the way from California. We had a house full and I loved every minute of it!  I think that I was made to entertain (in my own home!) - as I got all the food prepped and ready to go (by myself - go me!) and just enjoyed being within my own (newer) surroundings (Gray Gables).  I love this old house we have and the memories that we are making around it!

The girls were outside playing, getting dirty as all get out (which for my little ladies is a NORM since we moved out here) and riding power wheels (all day) making Cousin Rick a nervous Daddy!  It was nothing short of EPIC, and if I could have Julie and Rick near us all the time, I absolutely WOULD.  (Hubby already informed me that Cali is not on our might move to list though and frankly I am there with him- too darn expensive!)

Family time was happening at old Gray Gables and Memories were being handed out in the spoonfuls.  It was awesome.

What does Family Time mean to your family?

The problem with Families is the drama.  I can not say that mine if Drama free- because it certainly is not.  One day, I hope that everyone can be re-united to the family that I once knew- but until that day, I will take the halves that I do get.  Hopefully, one day, I can find my voice and find a way to make everyone happy (I don't count on this day happening- but hey, it sounds good!)

All in all, when it was time to say goodbye to Cousin Julie & Rick, it was bittersweet. It has been probably 6-7 years since we last saw them, and with my Hubby and his determination NOT to ever FLY- Cali is NOT in our Future!! (tear)

So, until the next time that they make the trip to Ohio (which I am sure is a BORE after living in CALI) we had to say goodbye.  The hardest part was the goodbyes that came from the little cousins- Valerie cryed, my biggest hugged and hugged again and hugged again while stating that she did not want her "Best Friend" to leave and my youngest (who is the same age as Valerie) hugged and hugged and made the same argument apparent- "Best Friends Forever!"

It actually brings back a lot of memories of my childhood.  There was a pact made between Julie, Brandi (my other cousin), Carissa (my other cousin) and myself- as we did *everything together when everyone was around one another.  There were memories of being at our Grandparents house, swimming in the pool, picking raspberries behind the garage, walking in the field to Julie's house...we were all so close. There were the days of Cedar Point and I was always to "short" to ride all the roller coasters the other 3 got to ride. (boo!)  But there are infinite memories that will always be defined within me!

Wishing my girls had cousins to have those same memories with... knowing they do and are starting to create these and although they are not true *cousins, the meaning is the same!

Just as Julie and Rick have been titled Aunt and Uncle.  Closeness makes you family - just as Hubby's cousins have also been deemed this title. (This is the hardest part of Hubby not having siblings and me only having 1 - who is in CALI!)

But, it was a wonderful day, I think everyone had a good time and nice to just get together with everyone and "catch up" every once in a while.  Plus, my Hubby makes a banging BBQ!  LOL!!

Happy Father's day to all the Fathers/Dads/Grandfathers/Uncles/Brothers out there!  (yes, I am a day late!)

Hopefully everyone managed their workout yesterday- so sorry I forgot about you all! (Long story, had Cali family in then a Dad's day cookout and just got pre-occupied!)

What was your Challenge Yesterday (in case you missed it):

57 sit ups
83 crunches
55s plank
27 pushups
48 Jumping Jacks
41 High Knees
21 Squats

20 Lunges (per leg)

What is our Challenge today?

60 sit ups
92 crunches
60s plank
29 pushups
50 Jumping Jacks
42 High Knees
22 Squats
22 Lunges (per leg)

Are we drinking lots of water?  Are we pushing, even if it HURTS?  Are we determined and remembering our GOALS?  I think that at this point, and what is working for me to keep me FOCUSED, is find awesome motivational posters and hang them where we are working out.  Determination will keep you pushing forward!

As for food, I started my day with my awesome oatmeal (good thing I LOVE Oatmeal) and a crystal light flavored Lemonade. (need a little flavor here!)

Up for morning snack is some grapes, banana and grapefruit.

Lunch will be a special Shakeo (I am creating a unique one- fingers crossed that it turns out but if all else fails, Butterfinger Shakeology is on standby!)

My Mid Afternoon Snack will be Hummus and 14 Pita Chips. I am going to add some Grape tomatoes in too!

Dinner will be a taco salad- using leftovers from my Turkey tacos. (it is a small salad and so filling!)

And after workout snack will be my 14 peanuts and large glass of ice cold water!

Let me know what your meal planner looks like- ideas are always welcomed also!

And on a side note- if you are looking for a great, fast workout- definitely check out the 10 Minute Trainer.  I love it- it is fast paced, the workouts are  on two levels, modified and intermediate and it uses the bands in the workouts.  Plus, it is just a great workout.  I have been at it for 4 days now and already starting to see the results in my stomach and arms.

And added BONUS- it is ONLY 10 Minutes!!!

Got 10 minutes? Get the body you want.

Hi,

Can't find time for the gym? I have great news: You can get a lean, sculpted physique at

home in just 10 minutes a day with Tony Horton's 10-Minute Trainer®. It only sounds

impossible—actually, how it works is pretty simple: Instead of working one muscle group at

time, Tony's workouts cover total-body toning and sculpting, abs, and cardio, all at the

same time!

I've seen the results—this thing really works! I'm not saying it's easy. But for just 10

minutes at a time, you can handle it. Especially once you start seeing great results, fast.

Plus, order it from me and you'll get a FREE bonus DVD—P90X ONE on ONE®: Fountain of

Youth yoga. It's the yoga Tony Horton does in his home gym.

To get results, stop by my website at www.beachbodycoach.com/KELAMSTUTZ and follow

the 10-Minute Trainer banner. Or contact me directly at KAM0900@yahoo.com, and I'll

walk you through the process—plus answer any questions you might have.
